“ This was a great old building with all of the charm youd expect on the inside. Food was delicious and there were tons of options. The mocktail menu was on point too. I could definitely see myself coming here often if I lived in the area. ”
“ Exquisite food, great flavors of Germany. Brats , chicken, black forest ham, bread products, and kraut are highquality. Unique interior, really cool building. Good energy here. Ask for Patrick. He pays attention to detail makes sure you have everything you need. ”
“ Restaurants like this give Wilmington Its unique historic vibe. More specifically, the outdoor bar and eating area surrounded by worn red brick and yellow weathered shutters provided the atmosphere we love. The schnitzel was lightly breaded and not greasy. An excellent dining experience at a good value. ”
“ May likely be our new favorite! Food is so good and the service is top notch! Our server Jessica was absolutely wonderful! She explained all of the food and drink options so very well! The atmosphere is so cozy! Do not pass this place by! ”
“ Enjoyed a late lunch during Port City Taste week. Fantastic options for 20 for lunch. Started with the tomato basil bisque which had bright flavor and a few chunks of leeks and spatzele mac and cheese which was creamy, cheesy and piping hot. It had chunks of bacon which added a good saltiness. The Rachel sandwich was full of smoked turkey, brussel slaw and a great spice from mustard. The schnitzel sandwich was pounded thin, breaded and fried perfectly. It had lots of beer cheese which added a creamy texture. The house chips were thin and crispy. Definitely worth the stop. Outside area is large and inviting but not on a really cold day. ”
“ Had a fantastic time and dinner. Loved the garden patio. So many choices on the menu we didnt know what to get! Everything was delicious and the service was top notch. ”
“ We lived in Germany for two years and its so difficult to find delicious German food this was absolutely amazing! And love the sweet touches like the Moravian stars tiles. Such an incredible restaurant, we will be back! ”
“ I must say say Ive wanted to the this restaurant for years and never had a chance to try to food until V Day Weekend. I spent some time in Berlin and Hamburg in 2019. Ive really become a fan of their food and beer. I must say that some of the food I had tasted like I was eating in Germany. The bratwurst tasted just like it did in the Christmas Markets in Hamburg. The only thing that was missing the curry wurst ketchup. The mac and cheese was amazing along with the pretzel. My favorite German fish was the schnitzel and I wasnt disappointed. Every thing else on the dish I didnt care for. I dont like the cabbage and whatever the other side was had no flavor. I ended up eating the chips from the bratwurst meal. I wouldnt recommend the chicken schnitzel because the rest of what they offered was terrible. I would recommend everything else I got. I would so say if you go out for the seating outside that you may have to wait. Waited over 15 minutes after a couple left to be able to sit down after it had been whipped down. ”
